Christmas Copy Cat

I have been busy making cards and felt ornaments for the past month, but unfortunately not getting them posted.  I made four cards following a post by Nichol Magouirk.  I love the "scene" cards that she creates. So I watched her video for the second time, copied down the layers and measurements and then went to town.

Here are my cards:

Lawn Fawn - Winter Alpaca

Lawn Fawn - Snow Day

Lawn Fawn - Winter Bunny

Lawn Fawn - Winter Owl
I made all four cards using the same layout and just changing out the stamped critter.  All the stamps I used were by Lawn Fawn.  I used my Scan n Cut 2 to do all my cutting for me.  It didn't like the trees, as it kept cutting off the bottoms, so I did use the die on some of them on the front layer.

I need a little more practice with heat setting on vellum, but am over all happy with my results in "copying" her cards.  So grateful that there are so many great crafters out there sharing their talent knowledge with us.

Harvest Mice

Today I have three cards that I made with the Harvest Mice stamp set by Birdie Brown. Thought I wasn't going to find the time to get them made before Thanksgiving, but luckily I did. They were too cute not to get them colored this year.

I colored all my images with Copics and then cut them out with my Scan n Cut 2.  Loving it for just this reason.  I did the same layout on all my cards, and just changed the papers and colored image.

I used various dies from My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn and papers from Doodlebug and Lawn Fawn.  The enamel dots are from Doodlebug as well.  I was very happy with how they all turned out.

Autumn Squirrel

I have been on a crafting roll this week.  Turning all my colored images from the thirty day color challenge in October into cards.  I have another Bugaboo Stamps image today.  I love the super cute images Jodi has on her website.  This time I have Autumn Squirrel.

I rarely enter challenges because I never seem to have the time, so that fact that I am entering the challenge over at Catch the Bug Blog twice in one week is amazing to me.

Crabby Cat

Last month I participated in the challenge over at The Daily Marker and I have several colored images sitting on my desk now.  This month I am turning those colored images into cards.  Today I have Crabby Cat from Bugaboo Stamps.

I love the expression on his face.  It makes me think of the Grinch.  I think this is what he would look like if he were a cat.  I did a pretty simple layout, just using a few layers of paper.

I am entering this card into the November anything goes challenge over at Bugaboo Stamps.

Turkey Cards

Last year my Girl Scout troop made Christmas cards for the nursing home that is right down the street from us.  This year our Girl Scout Community made Halloween cards for the nursing home and cards for Operation Welcome Home for the soldiers.

Not to let the girls have all the fun, I thought I would make some myself this time.  I made about 20 cards the other night for Thanksgiving. Nothing fancy, but I did get to use my Cricuit and my favorite cartridge "Create a Critter", and some dies with my BigShot.

I plan to have the girls deliver them to the nursing home the week of Thanksgiving when they are going to play board games with them.  Love the service projects we get to do through Scouts.

Jennifer McGuire is hosting a month long of Share Handmade Kindness and I think it is the greatest idea.  Let's share our joy of making things with everyone.

Pumpkin Queen

I love fall and all the beautiful colors.  Fall and Halloween images are probably some of my favorite to color.

Today I have Mavis Pumpkin Queen.  For once I remembered to pick out my papers first, and then to pick out my Copics colors before starting to color.  If only I remembered to do that more often :).

Mavis Pumpkin Queen - Tiddly Inks

I kept the card pretty simple with just some layers of paper. I am pretty happy with how the final card turned out.

I am entering this at the Tiddly Inks Fall Colours Challenge.

Ghost Kitty

I have a Halloween card to share today. I love fall and Halloween.  All the beautiful colors.  Today I have used a digi from Gerda Steiner Designs.  So many cute images over there.  Meet Ghost Kitty.  I did a smaller version for a lunch note for one of my daughter's.

I colored the kitty with Copics and paired it with some paper from the Doodlebug October 31st 6x6 pad.  I used some of the candy corn sprinkles and glitter sprinkles.  The sentiment is from the Birdie Brown, Witch Way is the Candy stamp set from last year.
