Bearable Friends

Happy Monday.  Today I have another digi image from Di's Digi Downloads.  I can't resist those adorable animals she has over there. I've colored Bearable Friends. I colored this image before, but did it in different colors this time.

Bearable Friends - Di's Digi Downloads

I used my Copics and stuck to a pretty simple color palette.  I have made several 5 1/4 square cards lately.  I like being able to see more the pattern papers I choose.

Birdie

I'm back today with another entry in the February Color Challenge over at Bugaboo Stamps.  This time I colored up Bugaboo Birdie and used papers from Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe 6x6 pad to add a few layers.

I used an old sentiment I had and a couple enamel dots to finish off my card.

Happiness is...

Oh my, two posts in one day.  I made all those cards this month during the coloring challenge and hadn't posted any of them, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

I am entering this card in the Di's Digi Designs  two or more dies challenge.

Di's Digi Downloads - Happiness is Beary Daisy

I love this bear.  It's the second time I have colored it; both times with Copics my favorite medium.  I used three dies in this card.  One from Lawn Fawn, one from My Favorite Things, and one from Spellbinders.  A little white gel pen and enamels dots to finish it off.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by,

Melanie

Birthday Birdie

It's Leap Day and boy has the month has flown by.  I have been participating in the coloring challenge over at The Daily Marker and have colored every day (yippee!). I have actually finished over forty cards this month.  So excited!  My card stash was really low.  I have been putting them all on my Instagram account and haven't been updating my blog.  Bad me.

Last week Jodie put out some of the cutest digis over at Bugaboo Stamps.  They are so adorable.  I purchased three of them and colored them all in the colors for the February Color Challenge with Copics.

Here's my first card.  I am entering it in the February Color Challenge.

I took my photo a little early and the Glossy Accents was still a little wet.  I used papers from the Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper pad.

The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge

I haven't posted in what feels like forever.  I didn't make any cards between Thanksgiving and Christmas and instead worked on felt ornaments to give as gifts.

To get myself back into the swing of things I am participating in the coloring challenge over at The Daily Marker.  Its only day three, but so far I have colored everyday and love seeing what everyone posts.

Here are the images I colored for days 1 and 2.

Christmas Copy Cat

I have been busy making cards and felt ornaments for the past month, but unfortunately not getting them posted.  I made four cards following a post by Nichol Magouirk.  I love the "scene" cards that she creates. So I watched her video for the second time, copied down the layers and measurements and then went to town.

Here are my cards:

Lawn Fawn - Winter Alpaca

Lawn Fawn - Snow Day

Lawn Fawn - Winter Bunny

Lawn Fawn - Winter Owl
I made all four cards using the same layout and just changing out the stamped critter.  All the stamps I used were by Lawn Fawn.  I used my Scan n Cut 2 to do all my cutting for me.  It didn't like the trees, as it kept cutting off the bottoms, so I did use the die on some of them on the front layer.

I need a little more practice with heat setting on vellum, but am over all happy with my results in "copying" her cards.  So grateful that there are so many great crafters out there sharing their talent knowledge with us.

Harvest Mice

Today I have three cards that I made with the Harvest Mice stamp set by Birdie Brown. Thought I wasn't going to find the time to get them made before Thanksgiving, but luckily I did. They were too cute not to get them colored this year.

I colored all my images with Copics and then cut them out with my Scan n Cut 2.  Loving it for just this reason.  I did the same layout on all my cards, and just changed the papers and colored image.

I used various dies from My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn and papers from Doodlebug and Lawn Fawn.  The enamel dots are from Doodlebug as well.  I was very happy with how they all turned out.
