Christmas Copy Cat

I have been busy making cards and felt ornaments for the past month, but unfortunately not getting them posted.  I made four cards following a post by Nichol Magouirk.  I love the "scene" cards that she creates. So I watched her video for the second time, copied down the layers and measurements and then went to town.

Here are my cards:

Lawn Fawn - Winter Alpaca

Lawn Fawn - Snow Day

Lawn Fawn - Winter Bunny

Lawn Fawn - Winter Owl
I made all four cards using the same layout and just changing out the stamped critter.  All the stamps I used were by Lawn Fawn.  I used my Scan n Cut 2 to do all my cutting for me.  It didn't like the trees, as it kept cutting off the bottoms, so I did use the die on some of them on the front layer.

I need a little more practice with heat setting on vellum, but am over all happy with my results in "copying" her cards.  So grateful that there are so many great crafters out there sharing their talent knowledge with us.

Harvest Mice

Today I have three cards that I made with the Harvest Mice stamp set by Birdie Brown. Thought I wasn't going to find the time to get them made before Thanksgiving, but luckily I did. They were too cute not to get them colored this year.

I colored all my images with Copics and then cut them out with my Scan n Cut 2.  Loving it for just this reason.  I did the same layout on all my cards, and just changed the papers and colored image.

I used various dies from My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn and papers from Doodlebug and Lawn Fawn.  The enamel dots are from Doodlebug as well.  I was very happy with how they all turned out.

Monster Hugs

Today I made a card for my sister who had a fall two weeks ago.  She is still recovering and I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking about her.  I had seen a card before and really liked the layout, but of course, I can't remember who posted it and can't find it pinned on my Pinterest board.  Any who, here's my card.

I used the Lawn Fawn Monster Hugs stamp set and the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 to create my card.  I cut two of the window frame and glued them together before adhering them to my card front.

I marked the corners of the windows and stamped in the images inside each one.  I then colored them with Copics and added some details with a black gel pen, white gel pen, Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.  I had some tiny googly eyes and couldn't resist.

Prickles

I've been busy making more cards out the images I colored in June. Today I have "Prickles".  I found him over at From the Heart Stamps.  He's just so cute I couldn't pass him up.  I colored Prickles with my Copics and used Glossy Accents on his glasses.

My papers are from the 6x6 Amy Tangerine Plus One paper pad by American Crafts.  I used various dies from the cross stitched rectangles, ovals, and circles by My Favorite Things, as well as the large stitched rectangles by Lawn Fawn.  I really like all the stitched dies that are available now.

Hedgehugs

I'm back today with another Valentine's card day.  This one is for my youngest daughter.  I used the Hedgehugs stamp from Lawn Fawn and made a shaker card.  The kids love them and they are fun to make.

Instead of using foam tape or fun foam, I cute 10 layers of the die and glued them together.  I'll think she will like it.

Ornaments

I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away.  I still have so much to do and a ton of it needs to be done by tomorrow afternoon (maybe finish the Santa red work pillow for my brother for the party tomorrow night).  Here are a few more ornaments I made.  I loved being able to use my stamps this year for more than just cards and tags.

Lawn Fawn

Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn

The owl ornament I modeled after a tag we made in a Copics coloring class I took in November with Sandy Allnock.  The stamps on that ornament are from Lawn Fawn.  One of my favorite stamp companies. I just adore all those critters.

The second one is the reindeer from Hero Arts and the trees are from Lawn Fawn also.  I used my white and black gel pens to add a little detail and the Lawn Fawn stitches hills for the snow banks.

Winter Birds on a Limb

I'm back today with Christmas card.  This time its an image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Jodie just has the cutest images on her website.  I used the Winter Birds on a Limb.

I had so much fun coloring all their accessories.  I use Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents, Ranger Enamel Accents, and a Snow Marker.  The greetings stamp in from Lawn Fawn.

Shaker Snow Bunnies

I found a little more time to play last.  This time I used the tress and bunnies from Lawn Fawn's Snowy Days stamp set.  Those little bunnies are just so darn cute.  I also used the hillside borders from Lawn Fawn to cut my snow banks.  I used the stitched rectangles from My Favorite Things (I don't have the Lawn Fawn ones).

Sorry, the picture has a glare.

This was my second attempt at a shaker card.  I used Memento Inks for my trees and Copics to color the bunnies.  I added a little detail with a white gel pen.

Snowman Ornaments

I'm back again with a few more ornaments that I made.  This time using snowman stamps from Paper Smooches and Lawn Fawn.  I admit I have a snowman addiction.  I have loved snowman for as long as I can remember.

Lawn Fawn -- Making Frosty Friends
Again, I totally got this idea from a YouTube video that I mentioned in my reindeer ornament post.

I had a good time using Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents on the snowman, as well as Stickles.  I even used gumdrops from Your Next Stamp as the buttons, and some snowflake buttons I found at Michaels.

I inked the wooden ornaments with Distress Inks.  The snow was made with texture paste and theSimon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil.  I need to learn to be more patient and let the ink dry before adding the texture paste so it doesn't absorb the color from the inks.   I painted the edges of the paper mache ornament and then cut a circle from blue card stock for the background.

I'm looking forward to making some more of these with my girls. Thanks for stopping by,

Reindeer Ornament

First, I have to admit that I totally got this idea from a video I watched on YouTube posted by "myserenitycrafts".  It was the "Snowman Ornament Tutorial for Beginners".  Sara showed this great idea using paper mache ornaments and stamps together.  I loved it.  So, here's the first one I did.

Reindeer Ornament

I got the paper mache ornament at Michaels.  I painted it with Martha Stewart Pearl Gold paint.  I used some really old Creative Memories paper for the background.  The reindeer and sentiment are from Hero Arts, Christmas Reindeer.  The trees are the "Forest Border" die from Lawn Fawn.  The red string beads are also from Michaels.

I used Wink of Stella on the sweater and trees, and Glossy Accents on his nose.  I also used Sakura Glaze glossy black ink pen on his hoofs. I had a lot of fun making this and have been working on some snowmen for the next one.  My girls are going to be making these for Christmas presents this year for their aunts and uncles.

Halloween Scene

I have been on a Halloween card kick for a while now.  I still have more images that I want to color.  I found this glittered house in the clearance section of Michaels last week.  I inked up the background with Tim Holtz distress inks and used the My Favorite Things "Treat or Trick" stamp set for the little zombie guy and moon.  Its very simple, but I think it turned out okay.

Hippo Birdie to You

It was a beautiful weekend and we were busy with the kids, but I managed to get a quick card made for my sister's birthday later this week.  I had brought the Lawn Fawn Year Four stamp set, but had not used it yet.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I love the bright colors.

One Last Snow Day

It snowed Sunday night into Monday morning.  Schools were closed and so was my work.  While I enjoyed our snow day, I do hope it is the last one for this winter.  I am ready for spring.  My girls and I stayed in our pj's all day and just played inside.  I made a few more cards using my new stamps and a few new Copics I got at Michael's Sunday afternoon.  I had been waiting for a couple weeks for them to go on sale.

Last week I was looking at some the cards on the Lawn Fawn Blog for inspiration.  There are so many cute ones out there.  I also had a printed a few layouts from the MOJOMonday Blog as well.  Here's what I made.
